Andy Hopping is a familiar face around the Club, and his journey through music is one filled with passion, dedication, and growth. A proud Michigan State University fan, Andy’s music often reflects his Spartan pride, including the anthem “It’s All About Heart”, written for MSU’s National Championship-winning basketball team.

While his path to music was never straightforward, Andy's love for songwriting has been a constant throughout his life. He earned his accounting degree from Michigan State and later his MBA from UCLA, balancing his business career with his desire to pursue music. In 1994, with encouragement from his wife Alicia, Andy released his first album, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, which marked the start of his music career. Over the years, he’s continued to evolve as an artist, releasing albums like Coming Home, Lake Grove Road, and Sweet Freedom—each a reflection of his growth as both a person and a musician.

Now, in 2025, Andy has released his tenth album, Songwriter—a double country record recorded in Nashville. This new project features heartfelt stories and tearjerkers, many of which are dedicated to the people Andy knows and loves. Songwriter marks a new chapter in his musical journey, blending his love for storytelling with his roots in country music.
